I was employed as a web designer at Test Equipment Connection for almost two years. During my time there, I was responsible for editing the website design and layout, as well as managing the extensive databases that contained information about the products we sold. The e-commerce site is powered by Zen-Cart, and is based on PHP and MySQL. I created numerous tools to help streamline the day-to-day processes required to keep the website running, also ensuring the web servers were operating properly.
In addition to maintaining the website, I also created print and email advertisements which were regularly distributed to a mailing list of over 1 million subscribers. Besides advertising materials, I also designed new business cards for many of the executives in the company.
I worked closely with the upper management, and often supervised myself on numerous projects - reporting my progress as necessary.
During my tenure at this company, our website experienced an 83% gain in traffic, and a 52% gain in e-commerce conversions.
